Sandford Learning and Therapy International Centre Limited is a company registered and operating legally under the Companies Act. Founded in 2025 by a passionate educationist and therapist, we began with a simple vision: to create a safe space where learning and healing go hand in hand.

The name "Sandford" has English origins, derived from the combination of the words sandy and ford. This name typically refers to a ford or shallow crossing place in a river, characterized by a sandy bed. "Sandfordembodies the resilient seed of enterprise, pushing through cracked soil to sprout regenerative growth in the corporate world. The name merges resilience with business regeneration.

Additionally, the term implies a sanctuary or safe haven near water. This implies that we aim at providing a safe haven for our clients.

Nettabella Rachael Simiyu is a Kenyan educationist, career counsellor, an ongoing scholar in Educational Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, a Kenyan author, a partial member of the Kenya Counsellors & Psychological Association (KCPA) and an advocate for neurodiversity. With a background in teaching and psychology, she specializes in empowering children with learning disorders through tailored support and advocacy. Simiyu authored Embracing Neurodiversity, a work addressing strategies to unlock the potential of neurodivergent learners. She actively engages in career coaching, combining psychological insights with practical guidance to help learners align their education paths with their personalities and aspirations. Her Personal and professional experiences with neurodivergent individuals, such as teaching or parenting or living with individuals with autism, ADHD, or dyslexia; her desire to shift societal perceptions from seeing neurological differences as deficits to recognizing them as valuable and natural variations in human cognition; her need to provide practical strategies for families, educators, and communities to better support neurodivergent individuals and foster inclusive environments; has given her the passion and drive of empowering neurodivergent people by celebrating their unique strengths and advocating for acceptance and understanding within society.

Dante Tom Simiyu is a trained medic in Dentistry. He has passion for children with learning difficulties, having interacted with most of them.
